Why We Spend An Extra $100 On These Two Things
We Spend An Extra $100 On These Two Things So You Don’t Have To Spend Tens Of Thousands
See How We Avoid Our Industry’s So-Called “Sore Thumb”
Let me ask you this, what do you think is one of the most significant contributing factors that cause homeowners to shell out tens of thousands of dollars each year on unnecessary repairs?
You’ve likely got some great guesses, but prepare yourself because the answer will NOT shock you…
It’s the laziness and, well, the greed of less reputable contractors.
Unlike us, they don’t bother with serious attention to detail.
Yep, they take shortcuts, opt for cheap materials, and make mistakes that don’t end up biting you in the rear until a year or so down the road. Then BAM! Suddenly you’ve got serious trouble on your hands that you didn’t budget for.
But Wait, Everyone Claims They Do “Awesome” Work!
If you’re a homeowner without much experience in home improvement or remodeling, it can be tough to differentiate the wheat from the chaff.
How do you know who’s who when every contractor seems qualified and claims they do top-quality work? How do you know if you’re dealing with the best HVAC products?
No one comes right out and shows you how they take shortcuts. No one admits they skimp on this or that to buff their bottom lines. No one tells you that the quality you see on the surface doesn’t quite match supportive systems and materials underneath.
We Can Prove We Do Awesome Work – Here Are Two Specific Examples
On the HVAC side, we take these two steps to protect you.
- We install a custom 26-gauge secondary galvanized steel drain pan. This contrasts with other contractors using cheap, generic plastic pans. The pan fits under your HVAC equipment when installed in your attic.
- Then we install not one but two automatic safety switches on these pans. This is so that if your AC gets clogged and leaks and the water gets caught and pools in the pan when it reaches a certain level, it’ll shut off!
Without those safety switches, water could seep through the attic/ceiling and end up in the finished space below. And once that happens, your repair bill gets higher and higher by the day.
This kind of thing happens more often than you’d think. We call it the “sore thumb” of our local home remodeling industry.
BUT WHY? Why would contractors choose to skimp on something that is only an extra $100 or so? Why would they take a shortcut that only saves a little bit of time?
Who cares? Don’t deal with it! Here at Innovative Air, for our Westchester County customers, this has been our standard for the last 19+ years. It’s part of how we earn and maintain our Pearl Certification.
Work With The HVAC Company Folks Trust
Your HVAC system, to a substantial degree, will only be as good as the person who installs it. With poor installation comes poor performance. You might have the best HVAC equipment in the known universe, but if it’s improperly installed or maintained, it will behave like just another cheap generic model.
When it comes time to replace and update your HVAC system, give Innovative Air a call. You’ll be SO glad you did! Not just throughout the process but well beyond, as you avoid the hassles other homeowners deal with. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
