This is the second time that I was fortunate to have Mark maintain and service my AC unit. While he performs the tasks at hand, he is most willing to explain everything to me and fully answer my questions. He is a great technician and very pleasant to deal with.

Hot surface igniter Here to replace recommended hot surface igniter for Trane furnace shut power to equipment. Remove worn hot surface igniter, installed new igniter. Ran and check system operation, monitor operation, system is on and running no faults or signs of failure at this time. Has a courtesy inspect attic, customer stated that he was hearing abnormal noise of something moving around or banging in the attic. While on sight inspected all ductwork that’s visible check exhaust piping, condensate drain piping, check zone dampers, and flexible ducts not seeing anything abnormal or hearing anything abnormal While on sight. Customer stated that the noise occurred during the last shower storm. He hasn’t heard it since but would like it to be noted in account. Customer was advice to record noise if it occurs again. Their troubleshooting confirmed that the electrical surge destroyed several key parts, which now require complete replacement. Because the zone panels are non-functional, we are unable to restore power to fully run or test the remainder of the HVAC system at this time. Additional electrical or mechanical issues may become apparent, and further repairs might be necessary once these initial parts are replaced and the system can be fully evaluated. ***An Arzel zone panel acts as the central "brain" for a zoned heating and cooling system.
